Il processo parte da una composizione di ritagli di carta da lucido sovrapposti, convertita in negativo fotografico e impressa su carta con sali di ferro e luci UV. L'artista sceglie poi alcune parti da mettere in risalto con colori fluorescenti e qualche timbro sui bordi. Infine aggiunge due presenze, due punti gialli, l'uno specchio dell'altro.
VLDV è Valdivia — una delle culture ceramiche più antiche delle Americhe, originaria dell'Ecuador. I suoi oggetti rituali, spesso figure femminili in terracotta, erano strumenti di trasmissione culturale prima che oggetti estetici. Il titolo porta quel nome, con le vocali tolte, come un codice che richiede di essere decifrato.

The process begins with a composition of overlapping tracing paper cutouts, converted into a photographic negative and printed onto paper through iron salts and UV light. The artist then selects certain areas to highlight with fluorescent colours and a few ink stamps along the edges. Finally, two presences are added, two yellow dots, each the mirror of the other.
VLDV is Valdivia — one of the oldest ceramic cultures in the Americas, originating in present-day Ecuador. Its ritual objects, often small female figures in fired clay, were instruments of cultural transmission before they were aesthetic objects. The title carries that name, with the vowels removed, as a code that asks to be deciphered.
